Finds: Before/After Button Tufted Couch Upholstery

I’ve got a fun DIY project to show you today. Remember the couch I bought for a photo prop a while back?

So many people have asked about the couch and complimented it. Dare I share that I’ve changed it?

I have had a love/hate relationship with it since the beginning. When I spied it at a local second-hand store, I immediately bought it to fill our empty living room but mostly as a photo prop. It’s funky style seemed like it would go with my funky pillows.

It’s definitely in the “so-ugly-it’s-cool” category.

But I needed a change, both for our living room and for fresh photography of my pillows.

Out went the funky green and in came a calm textured warm linen.

My mom upholstered furniture for a living so I became her apprentice for the week. I thought it would take much longer than it did but she, of course, made everything seem easy and we finished in about 4-5 days. Funny how that is when working with someone who knows where to start and how to progress.
