Old Made New started with recycled sweaters. In the corner of a room with a pretty wool sweater and an idea, a business was born. That idea turned up a ruffle rose scarf design. That scarf turned into a hit on etsy and then was picked up and featured on The Today Show.  The ruffle rose design translated into pillows, bags, hair flowers, and more. So many products were made over the next 5 years that we could no longer source the sweaters ourselves. We found a supplier of recycled sweaters that sent them to us in 1-ton shipments. We’ve kept a lot of sweaters out of the land-fill!

Ten+ years later we’ve adjusted with the trends and updated our handmade knit tote bags, hats, and other products made of recycled sweaters. We’ve replaced the ruffles with recycled leather and/or denim details for a unique boho look. Read more about our recycled leather use here.
