Musings: Installing a Fireplace and Surround

We’ve had a little project going on here the past couple weeks! Last December our heat in the living area of our main floor went out so we decided a gas fireplace would be the perfect replacement choice. Sadly, my gallery wall had to go, but a fireplace replacement makes for an even better feature wall. The progression in photos:

It’s not quite done but soooo close. Once painted, we will add wood shelves in the arched areas where I have ideas for artwork and a couple large baskets at the bottom.
