New Product: Lined Coin Purse

My sewing machines have been humming a bit more than usual! Why? Because I’ll be at the Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte, NC this fall. Eeeks! I hear it is 2 weeks of sheer madness, so if I think about it too much I start to get heart palpitations. I have a booth space reserved and a house rented so there is no backing out.

I’ve been told, “Make lots of merchandise and when you think it is enough make some more.” So you can imagine how many candles I’m burning these days. I feel we are getting a pretty good handle on pillows, scarves, and bags so I’m now working on a few lower and higher priced designs to round out my offerings. Something for every budget!

Upcycled Coin Purse

One of the lower priced items I have decided upon are coin purses. I’ve made these before but this is the first year I’ll do them in mass.

EcoFriendly Coin Purse

I started sewing a few today and hope to make 500 by the time of the show. These are made of old sweaters, of course, and are fully lined in fun cotton prints. I started with striped linings today but there will florals, plaids, polka dots, swirls, etc.

Fairisle Coin Purse

Don’t you think these would be fun teacher gifts? Each will have some sort of embellishment on the front. Today I did flowers but I’m also playing around with geometric ideas.

I’m looking forward to having these available this fall.
